Layout

The 18 hole Boavista Golf Course which was opened in 2001 and lies to just to the west of the town of Lagos. The course design was by Howard Swan and he has created a course that gives the impression that it has always existed by preserving and integrating the gentle slopes of the natural terrain. The fairways are lined with umbrella pines, almond, fig, palm and olive trees, and weaving their way between the water hazards and strategically located bunkers. Charming views of the clear Atlantic Ocean being visible from most holes it all combines to make the Boavista Golf Course a pleasurable round of golf to any golfer.

The first hole of the course is a gently slope downhill with a generous fairway instilling in the golfer a sense of wellbeing and enjoyment. Do not relax too much! The Par-3 second has a well protected green and intrusive olive trees. The third hole is a Par-5 with a steady drive uphill and now Boavista begins to show its teeth with cleverly placed obstacles and demanding play. A golf course carefully designed to make sure it has all the attributes to fulfil the expectations of most golfers. The Boavista Golf Course should be seriously considered for your Golf Holiday Package.
