The Morgado Golf Course which was inaugurated in 2003 with 6,399 metres in length and with a Par-73. It is the older sister to the adjoining Alamos Golf Course in the 980 hectare yet to be developed residential estate to the north of Portimao in the Algarve. It is easily found on the road that leaves Portimao going up to towards Monchique. The fairways are laid out over attractive undulating small valleys with parts covered with bush while the golf course runs through the wider valleys and with some attractive views towards the Monchique hills. The Clubhouse which is shared with the Alamo Golf Course has a perfect location and a great view over the Morgado Golf Course by taking in both the driving range and twelve of the eighteen holes.
The main character of the Alamo Golf Course is its large greens which are often raised up above the fairways and composed of several challenging levels. Another challenge to the golfer is the deep aggressive well placed bunkers which require accuracy for tee and fairway shots. Together with its sister course the Morgado Golf Course will make an excellent part of any Golf Holiday Package
