The 18 hole Quinta da Ria Golf Course was designed by Rocky Roquemore and is located near Tavira in the Algarve. A very important attraction is that there are no villas or apartments lining the fairways and instead there are many charming unobstructed views of the ocean and even the beach. The clubhouse is shared with its sister course the Quinta de Cima Golf Course.
A 465 metre Par-5 first hole sets the tone of the course with a gentle slope to the first of the several undulating greens. The Par-3 fifth hole of 175 metres presents a challenging dogleg to the left with its lake ready to attract any short ball. The back nine holes take the golfer to the panoramic sea and beach views. The Par-4 fourteenth hole of 340 meters which is a dogleg to the left. It presents water to the right on the drive and then followed by more water to the left forcing a carry approach shot to the green. The generous fairway on the final Par-5 hole of 485 meters requires accuracy and good club selection as the green is practically surrounded by bunkers. The Quinta da Ria Golf Course should be seriously considered with its sister course the Quinta de Cima for your Golf Holiday Package.
