The Balaia Golf Course

The 9 hole Balaia Golf Course which is an integral part of the Balaia Golf Village. It is an Executive Golf Course with tee to green distances varying from 67 to 160 metres. Set within the Balaia Golf Village complex to the east of the bustling holiday resort of Albufeira. Both the golf course and the driving-range are open to golfers of all ages and no handicap is required. Located at the back of the Holiday Complex it gives from the first tee a charming view of most of the course with the ribbon of blue sea as its background. These holes test the ability of golfer to control shot length and direction in order to to achieve a good score on this very attractive and manicured course.

Standing on the first tee of Balaia Course you can see virtually view the whole of the nine holes. A wooden bridge divides two small lakes fronting the first green which is an opening hole to test immediately the accuracy of the player. The third tee looks up to an elevated green which slopes towards you and whilst having some subtle undulations to test putting skills. To add to the challenge there is a strategically- placed bunker in front which asks for a correct choice of club. This a a golf course designed for both the beginner and the golfer that wishes to sharpen their skills on short play.
