The Quinta de Cima Golf Course

The 18 hole Quinta de Cima Golf Course was designed by Rocky Roquemore and is located near Tavira on the EN 125 road in the Algarve. The fairways run over basically flat land that was originally agricultural so emphasis has been placed on the construction of bunkers combined with lakes and a series of other water hazards. After golfers have played the first two holes the layout of the course demands the need for good club selection combined with accuracy. Streams with dams and permanent flowing water crosses holes 4, 5, 6 and 13 often catching the long hitter. The Quinta de Cima Golf Course shows it creative character with dog-legs to the right and to the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes. The tricky Par-5 sixteenth hole of 470 metres with a sharp dogleg to the right before the green is memorable. The final eighteenth Par-4 hole of 415 metres will also ask some questions of most golfers.
