The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course

The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course was originally designed by a combination of Sir Henry Cotton and in 1995 redesigned by Rocky Roquemore. When it was opened in 1968 it was the first golf course on the cliff top in the Algarve making it double attractive to golfers. The fairways run through umbrella pine and fig trees, beach top cliffs, and finally some holes are sandwiched between residential villas with their attractive gardens.

Properly the two most challenging holes are the eleventh and fourteenth which are both Par-4s and present the player with magnificent ocean views. The Par-3 fifteenth is legendary for its cliff top position and its challenging drive! The last two Par-5 holes will ask the golfer to provide high accuracy to obtain a good finish to the round. This Ocean Golf Course together with its sister course the Royal Golf Course being both in Vale do Lobo will make an excellent part of any Golf Holiday Package.
